While its predecessor, the DPX-5000BT was an impressive unit, for 2018 Kenwood have really ramped things up with the new DPX-5100BT replacement, adding a bunch of awesome new features along with a larger, brighter display with variable illumination.

As always, audio performance is top notch as we’ve come to expect from the Kenwood brand, but when you throw in new features like five phone full time AD2P Bluetooth connectivity for music streaming (2 phone full time connection for hands-free calls), full Spotify control, compatibility with the Kenwood Remote App and built-in steering wheel control interface… Well you get the picture, it’s a bad-a@# head unit!

While those inclusions alone should have you pulling out your wallet already, the DPX-5100BT also boasts tripple RCA pre-outs for additional amps to power your speakers and or subwoofers for some extra punch and for those of you with Toyotas, Kenwood have even thrown in 200mm brackets so the unit can slip straight into the factory dash facia. How’s that for additional value!

Shipping Policy

Son Sound delivers countrywide (South Africa - not outside the borders of South Africa), at the shipping rates charged in the shopping cart/checkout - depending on the item(s) and order. Please provide your delivery address on checkout. All deliveries will be booked on economy road freight, which means 2-5 business days delivery from date of order - depending on your location.

Refund Policy

Due to the vast number of products on our store, it is not possible to keep al prices and availability up to date. Therefore, customers are prompted to first confirm prices and availability before placing an order and making an online payment.

SON SOUND will either give a store credit, exchange or refund on any online purchase within 7 days under the following terms and conditions:

  • If a product\'s price has changed or not available and an order was placed and paid online without the customer confirming the latest price and availability, SON SOUND will refund the customer the full paid amount MINUS 3.5% up to 5% (depending on the payment method the customer used) - which is the service fee charged by our payment gateway provider.
  • If the product was delivered and the customer is not happy with the product, the product must be returned at the customer\'s expense, upon which SON SOUND will accept the return provided that the product packaging has not been severely damaged and the product has not been used, installed or show physical damages. Products must be returned in its original packaging. Three and a half percent (3.5%) of the purchase price will be deducted if payment was made online as payment gateway service fee.
  • Software products cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • Products will not be refunded or exchanged due to incompatibility. Please check compatibility information before placing an order.
  • Credits, exchanges or refunds can only be granted after the product has been returned and inspected (and tested) by trained technical staff to determine if the condition of the returned product grants a credit, refund or exchange. Items cannot be credited, exchanged or refunded before this procedure has been completed. Depending on the product and our supplier, it may take any time from 5-20 working days to process.
  • A delivery fee will be charged again whenever the product is replaced with the same or another.
  • If an out-of-box defect can be determined or any defects covered under the manufacturer\'s warrantee, such warrantee will be honored.

SON SOUND adheres to the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa and will base any return on the statutes of the Act.
