The t-TAB is a drumhead tone modifier that makes it easy to “fine tune” the tone and resonance of any drum, in any room, for any playing situation.

Eliminate specific frequencies and control the length of decay of a drum by experimenting with the placement of the removable and reusable t-TABS at different locations on the drumhead.

Professional drum techs understand that there are times to adjust the drum sound by using external modification. Adjusting the ATTACK, TONE and RESONANCE of a drum can all be achieved by adjusting the vibration and the density of the drumhead.

The 3” plastic t-TABS have a slight radius that allow them to fit nicely around the circumference of a drum. But unlike other muting mediums, the 10mil plastic TABs can be played on and placed anywhere, batter or resonant heads-wherever a frequency adjustment is needed.

The proprietary adhesive allows the t-TAB to be removed and re-positioned over and over again. Multiple TABs can create a more profound effect. The included tab storage sheet can be used to hold tabs for quick and easy, real-time tone change. (Five TABs 3 clear and 2 coated) included in each package.

Shipping Policy

Son Sound delivers countrywide (South Africa - not outside the borders of South Africa), at the shipping rates charged in the shopping cart/checkout - depending on the item(s) and order. Please provide your delivery address on checkout. All deliveries will be booked on economy road freight, which means 2-5 business days delivery from date of order - depending on your location.

We are committed to our customers in providing great value, quality, advice and service. We will always endeavor to offer our customers the best price and offer to match any written quote cheaper than our price for the exact same product, not older than 7 days given by a local company (or as advertised on their website), provided that we have such product in stock at that time.

Refund Policy

Due to the vast number of products on our store, it is not possible to keep al prices and availability up to date. Therefore, customers are prompted to first confirm prices and availability before placing an order and making an online payment.

SON SOUND will either give a store credit, exchange or refund on any online purchase within 7 days under the following terms and conditions:

  • If a product\'s price has changed or not available and an order was placed and paid online without the customer confirming the latest price and availability, SON SOUND will refund the customer the full paid amount MINUS 3.5% up to 5% (depending on the payment method the customer used) - which is the service fee charged by our payment gateway provider.
  • If the product was delivered and the customer is not happy with the product, the product must be returned at the customer\'s expense, upon which SON SOUND will accept the return provided that the product packaging has not been severely damaged and the product has not been used, installed or show physical damages. Products must be returned in its original packaging. Three and a half percent (3.5%) of the purchase price will be deducted if payment was made online as payment gateway service fee.
  • Software products cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • Products will not be refunded or exchanged due to incompatibility. Please check compatibility information before placing an order.
  • Credits, exchanges or refunds can only be granted after the product has been returned and inspected (and tested) by trained technical staff to determine if the condition of the returned product grants a credit, refund or exchange. Items cannot be credited, exchanged or refunded before this procedure has been completed. Depending on the product and our supplier, it may take any time from 5-20 working days to process.
  • A delivery fee will be charged again whenever the product is replaced with the same or another.
  • If an out-of-box defect can be determined or any defects covered under the manufacturer\'s warrantee, such warrantee will be honored.

SON SOUND adheres to the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa and will base any return on the statutes of the Act.
