Georg Neumann unveiled his first microphone — the CMV 3 — in 1928. So when Neumann, a company synonymous with the finest condenser microphones, turned its attention to studio monitors, the implications were serious. After all, mics and speakers are both transducers. Neumann’s KH 120 nearfield studio monitor demonstrates the no-compromise sound quality and impeccable build standards you can expect from Neumann. The “KH” in the product name stands for Klein Hummel, a company long associated with world-class professional monitoring, now folded into the Sennheiser group and being marketed under the Neumann brand. The KH 120 is ideal for tracking, mixing, and mastering in music, broadcast, and post-production studios.

 

The Mathematically Modeled Dispersion waveguide

The magnetically-shielded aluminum cabinet is loaded with a long-throw, composite-sandwich 5.25″ woofer and a titanium-fabric 1″ dome tweeter, each driven by an onboard 50-watt high-headroom Class AB amplifier. The front baffle incorporates Neumann’s Mathematically Modeled Dispersion (MMD) waveguide, which helps produce a broad sweet spot and smooth off-axis response. In a stereo configuration, the KH 120 delivers a stable image with a satisfying sense of depth.

The KH 120’s frequency response is smooth and natural, delivering bass remarkably well for this size monitor. Its midrange presentation is detailed and revealing, neither overly forward nor recessive. Shipping Policy

Son Sound delivers countrywide (South Africa - not outside the borders of South Africa), at the shipping rates charged in the shopping cart/checkout - depending on the item(s) and order. Please provide your delivery address on checkout. All deliveries will be booked on economy road freight, which means 2-5 business days delivery from date of order - depending on your location.

Refund Policy

Due to the vast number of products on our store, it is not possible to keep al prices and availability up to date. Therefore, customers are prompted to first confirm prices and availability before placing an order and making an online payment.

SON SOUND will either give a store credit, exchange or refund on any online purchase within 7 days under the following terms and conditions:

  • If a product\'s price has changed or not available and an order was placed and paid online without the customer confirming the latest price and availability, SON SOUND will refund the customer the full paid amount MINUS 3.5% up to 5% (depending on the payment method the customer used) - which is the service fee charged by our payment gateway provider.
  • If the product was delivered and the customer is not happy with the product, the product must be returned at the customer\'s expense, upon which SON SOUND will accept the return provided that the product packaging has not been severely damaged and the product has not been used, installed or show physical damages. Products must be returned in its original packaging. Three and a half percent (3.5%) of the purchase price will be deducted if payment was made online as payment gateway service fee.
  • Software products cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • Products will not be refunded or exchanged due to incompatibility. Please check compatibility information before placing an order.
  • Credits, exchanges or refunds can only be granted after the product has been returned and inspected (and tested) by trained technical staff to determine if the condition of the returned product grants a credit, refund or exchange. Items cannot be credited, exchanged or refunded before this procedure has been completed. Depending on the product and our supplier, it may take any time from 5-20 working days to process.
  • A delivery fee will be charged again whenever the product is replaced with the same or another.
  • If an out-of-box defect can be determined or any defects covered under the manufacturer\'s warrantee, such warrantee will be honored.
