Packing four 8″ Hartke patented HyDrive speakers and a 500-watt Class D amplifier into a sleek enclosure weighing only 49 pounds, the HD508 provides exceptional bass tone to any rehearsal, stage or studio.

The HyDrive Design

HyDrive speakers feature carefully crafted paper/aluminum hybrid cone drivers. The hybrid makeup delivers an exceptional blend of warmth and attack that can’t be attained by traditional all-paper bass speakers. And specific to the HD508, packing four 8″ HyDrive speakers into a single cabinet creates a combined cone area that is larger, as well as able to reproduce a wider audio range, than that of a single 15″ speaker.

Power and Portability

Beyond the impeccable tone of the HyDrive speakers, the HD508 offers tremendous power in a highly-portable design. Its lightweight Class D amplifier produces an earth shaking 500 watts of power capable of filling any rehearsal space, recording studio or performance venue. And weighing just 49 pounds in all, the HD508 can be easily transported via its molded strap carry handle, metal side carry handles or removable casters.

Shape Your Tone

The HD508 includes a selectable Shape circuit that allows you to dial in a specialized EQ curve designed to improve tone through selective boosts and cuts across the frequency range. Additionally, a 3-band EQ provides further customization options.

Shipping Policy

Son Sound delivers countrywide (South Africa - not outside the borders of South Africa), at the shipping rates charged in the shopping cart/checkout - depending on the item(s) and order. Please provide your delivery address on checkout. All deliveries will be booked on economy road freight, which means 2-5 business days delivery from date of order - depending on your location.

Refund Policy

Due to the vast number of products on our store, it is not possible to keep al prices and availability up to date. Therefore, customers are prompted to first confirm prices and availability before placing an order and making an online payment.

SON SOUND will either give a store credit, exchange or refund on any online purchase within 7 days under the following terms and conditions:

If a product\'s price has changed or not available and an order was placed and paid online without the customer confirming the latest price and availability, SON SOUND will refund the customer the full paid amount MINUS 3.5% up to 5% (depending on the payment method the customer used) - which is the service fee charged by our payment gateway provider.
If the product was delivered and the customer is not happy with the product, the product must be returned at the customer\'s expense, upon which SON SOUND will accept the return provided that the product packaging has not been severely damaged and the product has not been used, installed or show physical damages. Products must be returned in its original packaging. Three and a half percent (3.5%) of the purchase price will be deducted if payment was made online as payment gateway service fee.
Software products cannot be exchanged or refunded.
Products will not be refunded or exchanged due to incompatibility. Please check compatibility information before placing an order.
Credits, exchanges or refunds can only be granted after the product has been returned and inspected (and tested) by trained technical staff to determine if the condition of the returned product grants a credit, refund or exchange. Items cannot be credited, exchanged or refunded before this procedure has been completed. Depending on the product and our supplier, it may take any time from 5-20 working days to process.
A delivery fee will be charged again whenever the product is replaced with the same or another.
If an out-of-box defect can be determined or any defects covered under the manufacturer\'s warrantee, such warrantee will be honored.

SON SOUND adheres to the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa and will base any return on the statutes of the Act.
