Paul Stanley is back with Ibanez
This guitar is based on a model that Paul originally started playing in the 1970s – his beloved Ibanez Iceman electric guitars. These guitars had all the power and crunch of other dual humbucker-equipped guitars, but with an instantly identifiable body style that screamed rock ‘n’ roll. Starchild used the Ibanez guitars into the early ’80s, again through the ’90s, and now he’s back where things began. Not many players define the rock attitude and persona like Stanley, and the Ibanez PS120SPSSP puts all of that swagger in an electric guitar.
Made for the stage
Like its designer, the Ibanez PS120SPSSP Paul Stanley signature guitar is born to be onstage. The Iceman body style is comfortably contoured with an extreme look. And it offers great access to the higher frets for an effortless and enjoyable playing experience. The bound ebony fretboard is ornamented with acrylic and abalone inlay. And the guitar’s chrome-on-silver sparkle was an instant hit with everyone at Sweetwater.
This guitar screams rock ‘n’ roll
This guitar was engineered to be played loud. The mahogany body is capped with a maple top to deliver sustain and clarity, while maintaining plenty of warmth and bottom end. A set of Seymour Duncan humbuckers provides the muscle. The Custom 5 in the bridge is basically a PAF-style pickup on steroids. And the ’59 in the neck delivers all the clarity and warmth of a great vintage humbucker. Two volumes, a tone, and a 3-way pickup selector are all you need to get killer rock tone.
